As a Broker, you'll be the primary point of contact for individuals and companies who choose to work with Tzedakah House. You'll open doors and help maintain existing relationships by recommending cost-effective benefits, walking folks through the enrollment process, and making sure that all questions are answered timely and accurately.
Tzedakah House handles the employee benefits program administration for more than 180 employers, which range in size from a handful to several hundred. Many our of clients are hiring – just like we are! – and we play a very hands-on role in making sure that employees’ hands are held from a benefits perspective.
This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a desire to make the client experience as smooth and positive as possible.
Broker Responsibilities
Actively works alongside the Director of Business Development to pursue new clients through telemarketing, networking, personal referrals, and additional sales strategies
Oversees all aspects of your clients with the Account Manager, Vice President, and President including renewing existing clients annually, onboarding new employees, and customer service
Creates and executes sales proposals, presentations, and RFP responses, which creatively and effectively address needs and appropriately communicates the offerings
Maintains relationships and works to ensure Tzedakah House is viewed as a preferred vendor
Provides clients with strong technical advice while ensuring compliance with all regulations
Participates in ongoing training, education, and sales meetings to improve sales skills and enhance industry and product knowledge
Qualifications
You have a Producer's License in Connecticut for Health & Life
You have a passion for helping and working with people
You have superb written and verbal communication skills
You are highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities
You have very high attention to detail and are confident in your data entry accuracy
You are comfortable presenting in front of a group of strangers
You feel confident using technology and are willing to learn new programs
